Our Shanti Space

At Mindful Movements, we understand that you have a busy life. Because of this, we want to offer you a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of your day. With that thought in mind, we have created our New Shanti Space.

The word “Shanti” means “peace” and with that comes relaxation and restoration. We are offering several therapies as well as private and semi private yoga sessions in this restful atmosphere. See below to learn more.

Thai Yoga Massage Therapy

This ancient therapy will de-stress, lengthen and harmonize your entire body. Your therapist will rhythmically move, stretch and massage your body enabling you to feel a very deep sense of relaxation allowing your daily stresses to slip away effortlessly. Comfortable clothing is worn during this massage treatment.

Yoga Therapy

This individually designed yoga session will allow you to increase range of motion, stability, and functional strength. This yoga therapy session will also help reduce chronic tension and pain. Your body will become more aligned with each yoga session. Athletes will also benefit by enhancing performance and helping to reduce their risk of injury. Yoga therapy works at the level of the nervous system to re-balance the body and mind to be more connected.

Marma Therapy

This amazing treatment is an important tool of both disease prevention and disease treatment in Ayurveda. Marmas are thought to be channels that regulate the flow of information, nutrients and toxins throughtout the body. There are 107 alleged vital, epidermal invisible but palpable “marma points” (where energy and physical body meet) in the body.This therapy is designed to gently stimulate “marma” beginning with a constitutional analysis, (discovering your dosha) increasing the flow of energy and wellness to your body and mind. All natural herbalized aromatic oils will be placed on specific marma points on the body promoting relaxation and eliciting the bodies natural healing response. You will feel energized, relaxed and rebalanced after this treatment.

Private & Semi Private Yoga

We will design a private or semi private yoga session specifically around your needs and goals. Your registered yoga teacher will introduce and teach you how to move through the (asanas) poses connecting the breath to the body. Whether you are completely new to yoga or want to try new poses and deepen your practice, our new shanti space will be for you. A completely private, relaxed space to rejuvenate your body and soul.
